Project profilePersonal Management System (PMS) is a multi-platform (Java, Windows, Mac OS X) PIM designed to integrate a calendar, a journal and a project manager utility into a single application. Future plans include other integrated tools as well as synchronization with Exchange, PDAs and Java cell phones. Technically, the plan is to implement a core engine with platform-independent Java, and use that to build platform-specific applications (e.g. Cocoa). Another platform-uniting factor will be a common XML-based file format. Conceptually, the idea is to combine some tools that traditionally exist as separate applications and create a single application. It will allow the tools to be aware of each other and provide a consistent user interface to one's personal life and the resposibilities related to it. |
